Artist’s Note:
This artwork is a tribute to my mother—a woman who wore a smile

like armour. Wrapped in the daily struggles of life, she never let us

           see her pain.

As a single guiding force for me and my sisters, she played the role

of both mother and father. The mask in the painting symbolises the
smile she carried, while the newspaper robe represents the weight

of everyday burdens she quietly bore.

This painting reflects not just her strength, but the silent sacrifices

mothers make with love and resilience.
