A LEGACY IN UNIFORM

                                              ROHAN MEHTA
                                                 ALUMNUS
                                             SAINIK SCHOOL,

                                                BALACHADI

Rohan Mehta, son of Colonel Shreyash Mehta, is a shining example
of how the values of perseverance, patriotism, and discipline can
shape one’s destiny. As a third-generation defender of the Nation,
Rohan’s journey to the National Defence Academy (NDA) reflects
not only his family’s legacy but also the significant impact of the
education he received in Army schools, particularly Sainik School
         Balachadi.

Rohan’s childhood was marked by numerous relocations due to his
father’s postings across the country. Despite these constant
changes, one thing remained consistent – the quality of school
education provided to him. These institutions offered him the
continuity and stability required to excel academically, nurturing
         his innate talent and adaptability.

A turning point in Rohan’s life came in 2019, during his father’s
posting in Udhampur. At the age of 13, the Pulwama attack left a
deep imprint on him, igniting a sense of duty to his nation.

This tragic event marked a shift in his aspirations, driving him to
seek a life of service to his country. While the flame of warrior
was burning brighter, the next stage of motivation was one of his
best friends at Jalandhar who too was a die hard aspirant to join
NDA. As destined, the very next posting Rohan’s father took on
the role of Principal at Sainik School Balachadi, a moment that
would shape Rohan’s future even further.
