MY SPIRIT ANIMAL: A BUTTERFLY

From a distance everyone loves her and

thinks that she’s beautiful

But nobody can catch it even if they want to
She chooses her own people

She has her own spots of faults but that’s

what makes her different,

Each spot makes her unique.
She takes her time and space to grow in a cocoon

Which leads her to the wings of freedom.

She knows that she has flowers to lean on

But flying alone in an open meadow is the goal.
She is considered magical and amazing

Because of her ability to float effortlessly

But on the other side she is very

sensitive and fragile.

Being an observant she notices
the slightest of movements

Leading her to fly away from others
But yes, sticks to a place if she feels it safe.

From a distance everyone loves her
and thinks she’s beautiful

But at the end of the day she’s just an ‘insect’.
