Dear Diary

                                                  30th August, 2025

                                        “The morning sun awakens dreams,
A journey begins with sparkling streams.”

Today has been a day etched forever in the canvas of my heart.
I, Aarika, rose at 5:30 a.m., brimming with excitement, for I knew the day

ahead held something extraordinary. After getting ready swiftly,
I reported at Sat Rasta Circle, where our journey by bus began towards
Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Reliance Foundation School, Khavdi.
The ride was filled with anticipation, and the presence
of Vaishali ma’am and Abhishek sir made it all the more reassuring.
Upon arrival, we were greeted with a very warm welcome—
                                       their hospitality was heart-warming.
A delicious breakfast was offered, setting the tone for the day.

Soon, the interschool swimming competition commenced with grandeur.
Schools such as Genius School, Christ School, Radhika School,
Sainik School Balachadi, Nand Vidya Niketan, and many others took part,
each radiating their own zeal and spirit. To our delight, we were even
provided with lockers to keep our valuables safe—such thoughtful care!

After the thrilling events in the pool, we were served a lavish lunch
with many varieties, followed later by munch bites and high tea.
The generosity of our hosts was remarkable. For me, the highlight of
the day was stepping into the pool for the 50 m Breaststroke
under-11 girls’ category. With just 10 days of practice, I gathered
my courage and swam with all my might. To my immense joy,
I emerged with a bronze medal! “Success is not measured by the metal

around the neck, but by the fire within the heart”—and today, my fire bore fruit.
This is my first medal in swimming, a sport new to me, for my primary
passion has always been inline skating. To win in a new field made my
happiness immeasurable. My parents appreciated my dedication,
perseverance, and hidden talent. I owe this triumph to my coach,
Usha ma’am, whose guidance was the cornerstone of my achievement.

“New skills bloom, new dreams arise, A bronze today, tomorrow the skies.”

                                                                  GRADE 5
                                                           NAND VIDYA NIKETAN
