Would you dare? To love me
To the moon and back

Just like you promised even if

I wasn’t what you thought of me.

Maybe I won’t talk to you

For months on end,
Or I might sing your praises

To the skies painted ocean blue..

I would give you
‘The best gift in the world’

Or, throw your letter in the corner
To be read on another day.

I can be the best company
One could ask for

But, can also be overwhelming

Draining too much of your energy.
I will always cheer for you,
No matter what;

But sometimes,when you win

I’d wish, if it were me.
You think I am giving you
The universe for you to keep

But all I am doing maybe
Is taking more than I give.
