DOUBT’S DECEIT
A child with eyes that gleam with wonder bright,
He wants to know about the magic in the moon,
searches for guiding light.
No doubt clouds his mind, no fear restricts,
He leaps into the unknown,
|wanting to know the sun’s magic tricks.
The genius, with a mind beyond compare,
Finds beauty in chaos everywhere.
No hesitations, no fear of the unknown
He seeks for the truth all his own.
A mad man lost in visions, wild and free,
Believes the impossible whole heartedly.
No logic binds him, no reason restrains,
He dances in his fantasies with no knowledge of pains.
But you and I with minds so keen,
Are trapped in doubt’s deceptive scene.
Our hearts so small, our brain so vast,
We over think, we hesitate, our fears ever last.
We doubt the possible; the true,
Afraid to venture something new.
We leave the quest, the search for truth,
Convinced it is futile, in our very youth.
Oh foolish hearts, why doubt so much?
Why let our minds, so clever not play such such?
While the child, the genius and the madman soar,
You and I are left to doubt, forevermore...
