Festivals are days, weeks or months when people celebrate, fast or enjoy. They
meet family members, friends, acquaintances and neighbours. There are three types
                       of festivals.
Religious festivals which are celebrated by one cast or religion. Eg-X'mas
National festivals which are celebrated by one nation. Eg-Republic Day.
International festivals which are celebrated all over the world. Eg-New Year's Eve.

Festival's cultures and stories of heritage are passed down from generation to

Naman A. Shah generation. Cultures are always based on heritages. The cultures change as per the
Class-5H times, situations etc. The culture may change temporarily or permanently, it is again
as per the times. Just like this year because of COVID-19 pandemic we were not
able to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi like we celebrated last year. This year we just let
The Holy Ganesh idol in our homes, bless our homes and then we submerged them
individually. Last year when we bought Ganesha there were big celebrations and
when we submerged them at a beach many, many people came together. This is the
most recent example of temporary cultural change.

I think festivals are the identity of any culture through the heritage of that specific
society, which brings moments of joy and togetherness.
