Indian history is huge and vibrant. We have importance to our culture and traditions from the very
beginning and have beautifully preserved it for our future generations. Our cultural heritage is very
important to us. No matter how much progress we have made and how far we are planning to
reach, we can never forget our culture and tradition because they are inherent in us and are an
indivisible part for us.

Festivals are celebration of emotions which are mixed with joy & pomp. In our country we
have many occasions to celebrate. We celebrate different types of festivals with equal
vigour & zeal. Be it Holi or Diwali, Eid or Christmas the enjoyment and happiness is the
same. Each festival has its own relevance and importance. Like Holi is a festival of colours, -
it teaches us to be friends with everyone; it also tells us that the different shades of colours
mix together to form a beautiful new colour. Eid- ul- Ada teaches us sacrifice. In chilly
winter, Christmas brings warmth in our heart. Each year we wait for Santa to come with
our desired gift. There are also occasions to celebrate well being & prosperity of our
community like Ashari Beej , Bihu, Pongal or Baishakhi. To remember our saints we
celebrate Guru Parab or Mahavir Jayanti so that their life and teachings can inspire and
guide us to take right path. Festivals like Durga Puja or Navratri teaches us to respect
women who are our source of energy in every day life in form of our mother or sister.
Again festivals like Rakshabandhan or bhai dooj celebrates the unconditional love & bond
between brother and sister. Festivals not only break the monotony in our life but also give
us the energy to continue forward.
