VI) FASCINATING STORIES IN SCIENCE- STORY OF A PENDULUM CLOCK PRESENTED BY
NATIONAL AWARDEE TEACHER MRS PRAGYA NOPANI NEW DELHI.
As children, we often have fond memories of enjoying a story at our bedside. Perhaps, we have pleasant
memories of story time during our primary years of school. Is it possible to have storytelling in science? And
what if the story is narrated by an expert in the field of science? Someone who have devoted his/her life to
science? Our school science club organised an innovative ONLINE COLLOQUIUM in which FASCINATING
STORIES IN SCIENCE were proposed to be delivered by the experts as a series of stories.
The first Pearl of the Necklace of these stories was presented by MRS PRAGYA NOPANI, A NATIONAL
AWARDEE TEACHER From NEW DELHI. She presented THE STORY OF A PENDULUM CLOCK in front of
class XI & XII students, our PRINCIPAL SIR and science club coordinator through a virtual meeting of online
meeting platform. The colloquium was anchored by Ms VIDHATRI ROY of class XII. The seat of chair person
was accepted by Principal MR RADHEY SHYAM PANDEY. Introduction of the speaker was carried out by MS
CARINE BHARDWAJ of class XII. In her introductory speech she focussed on the achievements of the guest
speaker MRS PRAGYA NOPANI. Then club coordinator gave introduction of this colloquium and presented his
own poem on PERIODIC MOTION (https://youtu.be/5xq_Oq2J_fM ) which was highly acclaimed by the
students, teachers, Principal Sir and guest of honour. Later on MRS PRAGYA NOPANI ma'am presented her
story through power point presentation accompanied by her spell bounding narration. The success of this
colloquium was at such a level that its echoes were reverberating in ears for the following week(s).
Students, teachers and everyone was praising it.
